After passing through the C&D canal on the second day of the cruise, the DELMARVA crew heading down the Delaware Bay. With predicted 10-15 knots of wind they were hoping for some good sailing. However, they ended up instead with 22 knots of wind on the nose! For the ocean passage down to Norfolk there was not much wind but it was a pleasant overnight passage which brought them into Little Creek at 4:00 AM on Tuesday morning. After a day of resting and recuperating they departed Little Creek and headed up the bay. They made a straight passage all of the way to Annapolis with some great sailing along the way and made Annapolis Harbor by 9:00 AM Thursday morning. The crew spent the day resting and shopping in Annapolis, had a nice meal and retired early. On Friday morning they departed Annapolis and had a fabulous long spinnaker run all of the way to Rock Hall, arriving is good spirits with pride in their accomplishment!
